Product Description
Seawater desalination requires higher pressure, stronger materials and tighter pretreatment than brackish RO, so DSTC designs SWRO systems around the coastal feed water and site duty. Systems can be skid-mounted or containerized with pretreatment, cartridge filtration, dosing, SWRO membranes, high-pressure pumps, instruments, and control panels.

Overview
Seawater RO systems remove dissolved salts from seawater using high-pressure reverse osmosis membranes. Compared with brackish water RO, SWRO requires higher pressure, stronger pretreatment, corrosion-aware material selection, and careful operation. In Saudi Arabia, seawater conditions differ between the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf, so design must consider salinity, temperature, suspended solids, biofouling risk, intake type, and product-water requirements.
