Comprehensive Water and Wastewater Laboratory Analysis
A full one-off analytical workup of your water or wastewater source before any treatment design.
Product Description
A full water analysis prevents treatment design from being based on assumptions, and DSTC uses it as the diagnostic step before system selection or quotation. Unlike routine monitoring of an existing plant, this is the diagnostic package that tells you what is in the water, whether it meets the limits it must meet and which treatment steps are actually required. We test physical, chemical and microbiological parameters, then interpret the results against your target use, whether drinking water, boiler or cooling feed, process water, irrigation, reuse or discharge.
For quotation or proposal, send the source type (raw water, well, municipal, wastewater or effluent), sample point, intended use or discharge/compliance limit, parameters already known as a concern, number of samples, and delivery or site city.
Overview
Every treatment decision starts with knowing the water. DSTC’s comprehensive laboratory analysis gives you a thorough picture of a raw water or wastewater source so the treatment design that follows is based on real data rather than assumptions. The analysis covers physical parameters such as pH, turbidity, TDS, conductivity, temperature, colour and odour; a chemical profile including major ions, hardness, alkalinity, iron, manganese and relevant heavy metals; and microbiological testing for compliance and safety. For wastewater and effluent, the package can extend to organic load parameters and oil and grease as required. DSTC then interprets the results against the standard your project must satisfy and translates them into treatment implications: pretreatment needs, scaling and fouling risk, chemical dosing requirements and likely impact on recovery and product quality. This is a one-off source-characterization service and is kept separate from ongoing plant monitoring.
Applications
- •Characterising well or brackish water before designing an RO or filtration plant
- •Baseline analysis of a municipal or mixed supply before a new treatment system
- •Wastewater and industrial effluent profiling before treatment or discharge to sewer or environment
- •Regulatory compliance checks against the drinking-water or discharge limits a project must meet
- •Diagnosing an existing plant’s feed or product water when quality problems appear
- •Confirming water suitability for boiler feed, cooling, process or irrigation use
Service Scope
- ✓Physical parameters: pH, turbidity, total dissolved solids, conductivity, temperature, colour and odour
- ✓Chemical profile: major cations and anions, total hardness, alkalinity, chlorides, sulphates, iron and manganese, and relevant heavy metals
- ✓Microbiological testing: total and faecal coliforms and general microbial indicators for compliance and safety
- ✓Wastewater and effluent load parameters where applicable, plus oil and grease
- ✓Interpretation of results against the drinking-water, process or discharge standard the project must satisfy
- ✓A written summary of treatment implications: pretreatment needs, scaling and fouling risk, and impact on recovery and product quality
Product Summary
Comprehensive laboratory analysis is a full one-off test package for water, wastewater or effluent sources. DSTC provides it in Saudi Arabia before treatment design or system quotation, covering physical, chemical and microbiological parameters and translating results into treatment implications.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from your water quality management and monitoring service?+
This is a one-off full analytical workup used to characterize a source before you build or buy a system. Water quality management is the ongoing repeated monitoring of an existing plant. Many clients start with comprehensive analysis, then move to routine monitoring once a system is running.
Why do I need a full analysis before getting a system quote?+
The water analysis determines the whole design: pretreatment, membrane or media selection, recovery, chemical dosing and product quality. Without it, a quote is guesswork. Proper analysis lets DSTC size and price a system that can meet your target, which usually saves cost and rework later.
What parameters are included?+
The package covers physical parameters such as pH, turbidity, TDS and conductivity; a chemical profile including major ions, hardness, alkalinity, iron, manganese and relevant heavy metals; and microbiological testing. For wastewater and effluent it also covers organic load parameters and oil and grease as required. The exact list is tailored to your source and intended use.
How should I take and send the sample?+
Use a clean, source-appropriate container, sample from the point that represents the water you care about, and deliver it as quickly as possible, kept cool especially for microbiological tests. When you contact us, we confirm the container, volume and handling for your specific parameters and can advise on the sample point.
Do you provide results I can use for regulatory compliance?+
Yes. We report measured values and read them against the drinking-water, process or discharge limit your project must satisfy, so you can see clearly which parameters pass and which need treatment before compliance is met.
